• Sinuhe is a fantastic story filled with insights about life during Pharaoh Akenaton's reign. It is a story about life, it's ups and downs, victories and losses, love and sadness. It is also an adventure and an imaginary journey through the ancient middle east and north Sudan or the "Country of Punt" below the the Nile's white cataracts and the kabiri.
  I have read it several times during the years, every time I wish to read a pleasureful text I turn to Sinuhe.. far from the violence and sex based narrative so common and so shallow.
  It stands with Kipling, Verne and Salgari, a good read for pleasure.
• a classic in the space of historic novels. Very vivid depiction of ancient Egypt and the surrounding cultures. Highly recommended if you are interested in learning more of the classical period of Ancient Egypt, and want to reflect on the basic elements (means and motives) that constitute the human experience and that remain fundamentally unchanged across history.
• La ficción histórica se está convirtiendo en uno de mis géneros favoritos.
  Sinuhé nos lleva a un viaje por países lejanos, guerras, situaciones políticas y religiosas, amor y desamor.
  Todo con una narrativa interesante y fluida.
  
  Lo que más me gustó del libro fue el personaje de Khapta, su esclavo, que con sus acciones y pensamientos dan el toque cómico a esta historia.
  
  Es un viaje emocionante por Egipto, Siria, Babilonia, Creta. Me hacen desear ver las arenas del desierto y el agua del río Nilo. No importa cuántos miles de años pasen, la humanidad tiene los mismos conflictos, preocupaciones, diversiones, inquietudes.
  
  La versión es muy buena, tiene muy pocos errores para otros libros en español que he leído.
• I heard about this book more than 4 decades ago and since I'm one of those who believes that history is a revolving door, I bought it.
  I found out about how the ignorant has always been victim of the wise guys, about the use of religion by the powerful, about the distance between the have and have not, about the manipulation of information, about discrimination, etc.
  We just have superior technology and some laws that prevent some from abusing others, but more than 5000 thousand years have done little about human behavior.
• I read this book 30 years ago and I read it again in 2015. I enjoyed it this time as much as I enjoyed it the first time back when I was in College. Good messages about Philosophy of live. I absolutely recommend this book.

• Mika Waltari is one of the greatest historical novelists ever. This book is one of his best, a masterpiece.
  
  I got the spanish language edition for a girlfriend who only reads in this language.
  
  Personally, I prefer the english language version.

  I read this at least once a year, and i enjoyed enormously. The quality of this edition is great, and translation to spanish is very well indeed.

• This is a GREAT book (translated to 26 languages). I read it in Spanish and will read it again. HIGHLY recommended reading every 5 or 10 years as each of my parent do ... I'm getting a hard-cover for the next few reads.
